For those of you unfamiliar with Mayan prophecies, December 21st 2012 marks the end date of the Mayan calendar that was created over 5000 years ago. According to prophecy, on that date the sun will align with the center of our galaxies Milky Way, an event that happens every 26000 years. Many theories exist as to what will occur on that date. Some think it marks the end of the world or the end of human existence. I personally do not buy into that end times point of view. In fact I see it as the exact opposite, as a rebirth, a great spiritual awakening. Much has been said as to the great paradigm shift the will occur leading up to this date. If you are a keen observer of the world around us you can see that this is already occurring as we speak. It’s as if we are in a state of flux and the world around us is making that conscious shift towards the new paradigm. Hence my reason for starting the Vibe Dispatch. It’s my opinion that if we are currently going through a monumental paradigm shift in spiritual consciousness than someone has to report on it and keep on top of it. It’s just become clear as day to me over the past few years that your local and mainstream news organizations just aren’t going to cover this.
This being said I am very excited about the next five years and very much look forward to working this story and watching it unfold. Now nobody can actually predict the future but over the past few weeks I’ve been pondering what exactly this coming collective spiritual awakening will entail but when I envision what will happen leading up to December 21st 2012, I think of a passage written by Dr Richard Tarnas in his book “The Passion of the Western Mind”
“The Western psyche is on the verge of an unprecedented and epochal transformation: a triumphant and healing…reconciliation between the two great polarities, a union of opposites: a sacred marriage between the long dormant and now alienated masculine and the long suppressed but now ascending feminine”
Now with that quote in mind, I look towards this coming paradigm shift with a great sense of optimism and hope and I am truly excited to watch it unfold over the next few years. Not that the problems that the world faces today don’t concern me., they do. When I look at such subjects as global warming, war, strife, the depletion of natural resources and the complete ineffectual inertia and ignorance or our government, it’s all too easy to just say we as a species are screwed. That has inspired me to embrace a more spiritual approach in looking at the and presenting new and often out there ideas and concepts to develop solutions. I view the end of the Mayan calendar as an opportunity for the human race to start a new chapter and view December 21 2012 as a not to distant beacon of hope. Enjoy the ride!
